Instead of cold-calling relators I asked a realtor friend in New Mexico for a referral for Bend. His suggestion was to call the Hatton Home Team and the reference was perfect. Peter and Täna went above and beyond to help me find and buy a house. We started out by setting some very broad parameters regarding house sizes and price points. From there we used lists of potential houses gleaned from MLS by Peter and Täna, and by my own searches in Zillow and Red Hat, to build an initial set of homes to visit. We spent a couple of days looking at those houses. Peter and Täna guided me through discussions of various house attributes and provided solid advice whenever asked. They enable me to narrow down my preferences for neighborhoods and house sizes, configurations and prices. After that they re-built the selection lists from MLS and we soon identified several houses that were suitable and in my price range. The house I settled on was a new-build, nearly complete, and priced right. They advised me regarding location, price, and features, and they helped me submit a successful offer. Everything moved smoothly from offer to closing. I was impressed by how easy everything was. Where Peter and Täna really shined was in their support to the purchase process during the final two weeks before closing. I had to be out of the state for the walk-throughs, inspection, and closing, so they stepped up to represent me through all of the key events associated with buying a home. They also connected me with a professional home inspector who provided superior services, and they tracked the findings of the inspection and helped to negotiate remediations with the builder.
